Provenance Gin is the first creation in Backwoods' 'Gin Collab Series'. And who better to kick off the series, than our favourite local chef, Michael Ryan and his award-winning Provenance Restaurant in Beechworth, Victoria.
Provenance is an Age Good Food Guide two chef's hat restaurant, that creates contemporary food from quality regional produce. Michael's deep interest in Japan is reflected in the techniques and flavours in the menu. And it is these unique flavours that inspired this collaboration gin.
This gin is created with bergamot, shiso, and hand-picked cherry blossoms, delivering a lingering citrus note and subtle marzipan and spice. It is perfect with tonic and a slice of grapefruit or as the perfect cocktail gin, especially for a martini or negroni!
